Mr. Russell Leith, MBA, B COM, is our firm’s Chief Executive Officer and Thematic Team Leader in finance, Insurance, and Risk. An expert on access to finance and associated services required to support the development of the financial sector, Russell has 25 years of prior experience as a director and senior executive in insurance and financial services companies in New Zealand. Mr. Leith started his international consulting career in 2007. Over the past 16 years, he has completed over 70 international consulting assignments in over 40 countries and worked with 26 insurance regulators internationally. His consulting assignments have focused on risk management, insurance, and access to finance utilizing various policy tools ranging from microfinance to microinsurance and other regulatory, development, and practical and targeted policy and operational tools. Mr. Leith has worked in the following countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Cook Islands, Fiji, Ghana, India, Jordon, Kenya, Kosovo, Kyrgyz Republic, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Malawi, Malaysia, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Rwanda, Samoa, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Swaziland, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor Leste, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and Zambia.  (location: Nairobi office, Kenya).
