Dr. Sosenko has a long and distinguished career in agricultural insurance underwriting, spanning over 20 years and three continents. She earned her Ph.D. in Biology and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in various domains related to agriculture and climate science, such as agricultural production, insurance, and reinsurance. She has played a key role in the creation of agricultural insurance products and systems in several countries, ranging from Armenia, Ethiopia, Iran, Mongolia, Palestine, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, by providing technical guidance on policy frameworks, climate risk transfer solutions, and product design. She has also educated insurance regulators on agricultural risk management and insurance, risk data analysis, and product development. Dr. Sosenko collaborates with various actors in the agricultural insurance sector, including insurers, reinsurers, and international development organizations. She delivers her expertise on various facets of agricultural and climate insurance, such as underwriting, loss adjustment, product development, reinsurance, and policy frameworks.
