Mr. Stevens is the Chief Legal Officer of TSC Global and oversees the group’s legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs and its corporate governance and social responsibility initiatives. He has more than 36 years of experience in the legal field, specializing in inclusive finance, insurance and risk, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and legal drafting.

He holds an LLB and BCA from Victoria University in Wellington, NZ, and joined TSC Global in 2022 from his role as Senior Associate at GGI Law firm in Cambodia, where he was the legal advisor to one of the leading airport construction companies in the world, advising on all legal and compliance risks during their US$2 billion construction contract of a new international airport in SE Asia.

Mr. Stevens has a strong history in governance roles. In Commercial Trading, he was on the board of a state-owned bank in SE Asia and the boards of a Regional Airport company, a Sea Port company, and an Electricity Generation and Lines company in New Zealand. In the Regulatory sector, he was a former government regulator (2002-2006) presiding over cases in the telecommunication sector, Consumer Protection, Financial and Insurance Consumer Protection, Electricity and Gas, and Banking mergers.

In the education sector, Mr. Stevens was a former Pro-Chancellor of Victoria University of Wellington (2004) and a Council Member from 2001 – 2008. He also has a strong interest in the environmental, research, and science sectors, being a government-appointed advisor to Cambodia’s Central Cardamoms Protected Forest Trust Fund in 2016, the board of Wellington Zoo (2009-2011), a former Foundation for Research Science and Technology, and Health Sectors.

Mr Stevens was previously appointed as a businesss representative on a five-person senior state appointments panel, and has been responsible for appointing the Police Commssioner and Inland Revenue Commissioner in New Zealand.(location: SE Asia)
