Mariam is the recipient of the Communication Department Award of Merit for Outstanding Broadcast Excellence and has worked in the fields of hospitality, event management, journalism, and media, including film. She is a founding board member of the filmmakers’ association "Khmer Movie Production International Standard", a founding member of the Association of Filmmakers of Cambodia, Chairman of the Cambodia Oscar Selection Committee, Vice President of the Motion Picture Association of Cambodia, and a former Director of the Learning Resource Center at Pannasastra University of Cambodia. Mariam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Communications, Southern Utah University, USA. (location: Cambodia / USA)
